Hi Reader, Do you ever feel like you are stretched really thin - and all you are doing is playing a game of catch up and putting out whatever fire is burning the brightest? That is where I have been lately and it is not a good feeling. And you can get to that place without even really realizing it. Because not everything that causes overwhelm is a bad thing. Overwhelm can happen by an overabundance of good things too. I have so many interests - so many things that I like to do, and opportunities will come up that are hard to say no to. But I am sure you have realized that when you try to do it all, you don't end up doing any of it really well. And instead of enjoying yourself you feel stress from the sheer amount of things that need to get done. When it gets to this point, I have to take a step back and ask myself - Am I respecting my time? The answer is usually "no". If you, too, are finding yourself to be a bit frazzled then take a few minutes to make a plan so you stop wasting your time and start being more intentional with what you do Grab a piece of paper and:
It will be hard to narrow down your priorities to just 3 (or whatever number is manageable for you). But when you are hyper aware of what you want to accomplish, you also start to notice when you waste time on things that don't move the needle.
